International Lullabies: Love Songs for Your Unborn Baby
A mini-class promoting connection, development, and
preparation for expecting parents and their baby!
Class Description:
-Parents receive 3 one-hour group sessions of participatory play, practice and instruction in how and why to sing love songs (lullabies!) to their unborn child(ren) and eventually, to their newborns! Mothers are encouraged to bring their spouse!
-The facilitators will introduce the elements of at least 6 traditional folk lullabies from around the world, as well as guide the participants in creating their own lullabies. The class will use play, singing, movement, discussion and other fun tools to easily and quickly embody these new, yet natural, melodies in a relaxed, warm environment.
-Continuing the folk tradition, parents will be given the opportunity to personalize these lullabies, or to create new ones in order to convey to their babies their own individual message(s) of love, and anything else they have the desire to communicate. The facilitators will lead the class in exercises that will make this process relaxed, easy, empowering and fun!
